Vucic on subsidies to foreign investors: We will give twice as much (VIDEO)
The state subsidies for attracting foreign investors is a mechanism which the state has been using for a whole decade, but to this day nobody had presented to the public what were the effects of this investing of budget money. This is the topic of the first show the Insajder production is preparing, in cooperation with Free Europe.
Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic said that data about state subsidies were monitored closely for each investment, and that this was done by the Development Agency of Serbia. However, this data has never been presented to the public.
Speaking at the laying of the corner stone of a new production plant of the company IGB Automotive Comp in Indjija, Vucic said that Serbia had more investors than planned and that the state should be giving twice as much in subsidies.
According to Insajder's research, the subsidies that are being given are far beyond generous, and we also asked the prime minister why the information about the state's investments were not always and completely available to the public.
Here is what the prime minister replied.
The show "Insajder without Limitations" will start broadcasting on May 3rd at 21:30 on N1 television.
