Dissatisfied citizens, mostly youth, protested in Belgrade, Nis, and Novi Sad claiming that the presidential election in Serbia was conducted under unfair and undemocratic conditions. According to the polls, the current Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic won the presidential election on Sunday with 55 percent of the votes.

It is still uncertain whether an organization or a movement is behind the protests.

The route of the rally in Belgrade was somewhat chaotic, thus suggesting that the protest was not directed from any center, Insajder’s journalist reported from the scene.

The protesters gathered in front of the Serbian Assembly, threw eggs at the police and jostled with them. They even tore apart the large banner commemorating victims of the Kosovo conflict in front of the Assembly.

Apparently, the protest started spontaneously with a student’s event invitation on social networks for “Protest against dictatorship” in front of the Assembly.

Protesters started walking from Serbian Assembly to the Serbian national broadcaster Radio-Television of Serbia (RTS). The number of citizens at the protest grew by the hour. The protest ended with thousands of protesters in front the Republic Electoral Committee, with the banners proclaiming they will return in the upcoming days.
