To the contrary. After a one-year hiatus, we are back, but now, we have our own medium, a video portal. We have stepped outside the standards of television and television schedules, outside the conventions in Serbia. As of now, we will be accessible to all across the globe, without borders.

For us, there exist no borders, but there exists the work principle, which we have nurtured since our inception: there can be no comprise in the pursuit of truth.

We do not care who is in power today, who was yesterday, or who will be tomorrow. We do not make stories about individuals or political parties, but we disclose omissions in the system and pinpoint mistakes.

We will continue to abide by our policy – we will never publish anything without legitimate evidence, but will spare no one either.  

Since 2004, we have created more than 120 investigative episodes aired on TV B92, interviewed more than 500 people and displayed over 1,000 pieces of evidence of fraud, corruption and crime.  

Many threatened us with lawsuits, but over 12 years and after that many episodes, only seven were filed. Each and every time, the ruling was the same – we were not wrong. There is not a single court decision which is final and not subject to further review against us. We do not publish lies or unchecked information.

We are confident that portal Insider will at least be successful as was investigative TV program Insider. For me, the greatest feat already accomplished is the fact that the journalists who have worked with me all these years and creating TV program Insider, have decided to join me in this rather uncertain venture. We believe that we can do much more than two six-episode series annually.

Through daily work, that is by following daily events, we will demonstrate what role journalism should have in every society, this one included.    

This portal will never resort to announcing anything as “spectacular,” “unseen” or “sensational.” Everything will be professional, checked and responsible. We are obliged to act accordingly for the reputation earned by TV program Insider, our long journalism experience and numerous domestic and international recognitions.

This portal will simply disregard news which is not news and will not present everyday news releases as top stories, we will not attend news conferences only to “fill in” the portal’s content. Here, you will be able to find answers to all important questions...

Exactly a year ago, we decided to temporarily withdraw from public. The reason was a campaign, which certain media conducted against TV program Insider and me, using nothing but lies. At that time, we were employed with TV B92 and we could not change the TV schedule to fit our needs to every evening broadcast program containing evidence about those who were using lies in campaigning against us. That would have been the only adequate reply. We have therefore decided to invest utmost effort into creating conditions where we will never again allow anyone to use lies to deceive the public or undermine the importance of investigative stories we brought to light.  

We expect institutions to be open to the public and their representatives to provide answers to questions, while from our fellow journalists we expect collegiality and cooperation, which we are ever ready to extend.  

We also expect to hear various interpretations about why we are staring off “at this very moment,” while the correct and only answer is that we will get the show on the road when we are ready. No one stands behind us, but us. There are no secret funds. There are no hidden interests.  We expect institutions to be open to the public and their representatives to provide answers to questions, while from our fellow journalists we expect collegiality and cooperation, which we are ever ready to extend.  

For many years, many tried to dispute us in many ways: resorting to lies, discreditation, red-herring and threats. Despite everything, we have managed to preserve our credibility and to survive under the circumstances which would force anyone else to quit. We started out in 2004, as a team of three journalists. Today, 13 journalists investigate stories which will be available daily on Insajder.net

Our advantage is that we, as the team behind investigative TV program Insider, have a 12-year long history, some of us even 20 years of journalism experience, as well as tangible achievements in our so far work. Concurrently, this rests upon us a huge obligation and responsibility to all of you who will be following our work on a daily basis.
