“Journalistic Oscar” award for extraordinary bravery - Brankica Stankovic with other honorees journalists Alexandra Trower, Arwa Darmon and Solange Lusiku Nsimire at International Women's Media Foundation Awards in 2014

Brankica Stankovic and Insider team have been acknowledged with more than 15 domestic and international recognitions and awards.

In 2018, the Author and Editor in Chief of the Belgrade-based website Brankica Stankovic was honoured the “Engaged Journalism” award by the May Chidiac Foundation for exceptional investigations on crime and political corruption in Serbia

In 2015, to mark the International Women’s Day, Reporters Without Borders paid tribute to ten women journalists from the four corners of the globe, women with different backgrounds known for their commitment and the specific challenges and dangers they face in their work. One of them is Brankica Stankovic.

In 2014, The International Women's Media Foundation (IWMF) that honours women journalists who standout for extraordinary bravery awarded Brankica Stankovic with 2 other journalists. This award is known as “Journalistic Oscar”.

In 2014, Reporters Without Borders has for the first time published a list of profiles of “100 Information Heroes” to mark World Press Freedom Day. One of them is Brankica Stankovic.

In 2014 Brankica Stankovic won South East Europe Media Organisation (SEEMO) Award for Outstanding Merits in Investigative Journalism.

In 2014 Insider team won special “Slaven Kranjc” Award  on internatonal INTERFER festival in Sombor.

In 2013, Brankica Stankovic received the “Winning Freedom” award, given to women who work for the promotion of the principles of human rights, the rule of law, democracy and tolerance in society.

In 2011, Brankica Stankovic received the Annual City of Belgrade Award for journalism.

In 2011, NUNS and the US Embassy in Belgrade granted Insider the award for excellence in investigative journalism for the programme “Kolubara – Theft of the Century”.

In 2010, OSCE-Mission in Serbia declared Brankica Stankovic the Person of the Year.

In 2010, Brankica Stankovic won the Association of Independent Electronic Media (ANEM) “Lighthouse” award.

In 2009, Brankica Stankovic won, for the second time, “Jug Grizelj” award for outstanding achievement in investigative journalism.

In 2008, on the decision of 14 editors of South East European media Brankica Stankovic is awarded “Dr. Erhard Busek SEEMO Award for Better Understanding”.

In 2008 British Council published a book on Brankica Stankovic as one of five young leaders in the project “My Case - A New European Generation”.

In 2006, Brankica Stankovic won “Jug Grizelj” award for outstanding achievement in investigative journalism.

In 2005, Brankica Stankovic won the Independent Journalists Association of Serbia (NUNS) award “Dušan Bogavac” for ethics and courage.

In 2004, the programme Insider: “On the Trail of Ratko Mladić” won the “Bronze Olive” award in the TV reportage category at the Ninth International TV Festival in Bar, and was in competition for the award at the biggest European festival – The European Gran Prix – at which it was listed in the Top 10 category of the Festival.
