Prayer in front of the demolished masjid
A day before the beginning of Ramadan, Serbian authorities with the help of police demolished the masjid in Zemun Polje in Belgrade.

The building that was constructed without necessary permits was in the process of legalization, said Belgrade mufti Mustafa Jusufspahic to Insajder Production. However, according to mufti’s statement, the authorities did not respond to a petition for legalization of the religious object. Instead, in the early hours on Friday, a demolition team came guarded by the police.
